Israel's trademark system is a signle class application system. Each application must be filed seperately for each class.

Approx. 1 year.

International agreements

Israel is a member of the Paris Convention (enabling claiming an up to 6 month priority date), but it is not, as yet, a member of the Madrid Protocol.

Publication & Opposition

Application is published immediately. 3 Months are provided to file an opposition, following the conclusion of the mark's examination. 

Registration duration

An Israeli trademark is in force for 10 years (changed from 7 years on 2003) from the date of application, and can be renewed for subsequent periods of 10 years.
